Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder - GLOW {VoxBox} {Review} #sponsored
/A couple of weeks ago, I received the new Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powders, original and glow, in Medium Deep. I decided to wait a couple of weeks until I could actually try the product in order to give you an honest review and I am so happy that I did wait because now I can spill the tea on the ultimate truth. I am absolutely in LOVE with this powder. It is nothing short of amazing. To be honest, LM's translucent powder (natural finish) has been my holy grail since I discovered “baking" so when I received this product in the mail, I knew that I was in for a treat.
I usually am hesitant getting pigmented powders because they always make me darker than I am, but I was really surprised by how well the color matched my skin. The formula felt extremely lightweight and natural on my skin subtly blurring out imperfections. In addition to that , there was a subtle dewy finish to the powder that made me love the look even more because it looked so natural. Pro Tip: You CAN apply this all over your skin for a glowy finish, but if you do this, I would recommend using the velour puff to softly pat so that you don't look like a total glitter ball. I personally, use it as a bronzer, but it works both ways. I apply it to my face with the Laura Mercier Glow Brush, which the unique curved shaped design, allows for an even and luminous application accurately on the cheek bones.
A makeup company who keeps a brown girl in mind is a friend of mine. I am a fan of Laura Mercier products! The quality of the products is great and the application is extremely smooth, like butter. The best part is that the powders will last you a good while. I totally STAN for this product, as I do with all Laura Mercier products, but I love how the GLOW POWDER can act as an all in one and blends perfectly with my skin tone. I received this product complimentary from Influenster, for review purposes. However, These are my honest thoughts and reviews. I always test my products out to ensure that I am giving an accurate account.
I do have acne prone skin and so I’ve been trying to back off makeup for a while. So, In hopes of allowing my skin to breathe for a night out in NY, I decided not to wear foundation, but to just simply apply the glow powder for a natural bronze effect. I also applied some to my eyelids I absolutely was taken back by the result. My skin felt super light and looked dewy and natural.
