If you are new here, hello and welcome! My name is Chadia, but for the purpose of this blog, you can call me CkingDesirée, a twenty-something diva trying to figure out how this adulting life works. I know, it’s a mouthful… I am obsessed with Hollywood glam and the music/ talent business. The true heart of mine lies within the protection of artists, creators and their creative intellectual property. So, you can probably guess that I’m law school bound…currently loading.

In my free time, you can find me practicing my photography, traveling, journaling, trying to meditate, or being drama queen somewhere in the universe. I am inspired by beautiful things, people, culture and new experiences, so wherever those things are, I am too. ;)

Why a Blog, you ask?

Good Question! Well, my friends are tired of me talking their ears off about random thoughts so I decided to bless the sphere of the internets with my chatty and melodramatic tirades. Jokes aside… this blog was actually birthed from a place of stress, anxiety, and curiosity.

I struggled a lot with maintaining my stress throughout college and certain emotional, spiritual and certain events exacerbated it. After college, all of the pressure I placed on myself caught up with me, and my physical body finally started to react to that mental strain. Searching for an outlet to express my reflections and frustrations, I put pen to paper, or in this case fingers to keyboard, to constructively present my experiences as narrative prose and writings of which I knew others could identify with. It was a way that I regained control, peace , and ultimately gained that spark for life that I had lost.

I have continued “seeking” (cking) reflection on past experiences in order to progress towards my future “desires”, (Desirée) — which also conveniently happens to be my middle name. SO, this blog is essentially a way for me to creatively express myself as well as an excuse to speak about any and all things that come up in my life, as I work towards and achieve these grandiose goals of mine.

CkingDesirée is an ode to the past and a toast to the future. It’s not only about self-discovery, but identifying the self within the context of the world in which we live. This blog is for the twenty-somethings plus who are seeking purpose, achieving their desires, and pioneering in positivity in this busy world while also enjoying and growing from life experiences along the way. It is about staying present, informed, real and honest about the topics that affect our lives as we cultivate passions, discover peace and greater self-awareness through life, leisure and travel. It is NOT a place of judgement or stress, but of peace.
