The Day My Hair Acted Like It Had Some Sense | Texture ID & Olive Oil

All thoughts and opinions are my own. This is not sponsored.

T’was the first day of Autumn when all through my hair were tired, dried strands of curls that used to be there. yearning hydration, It needed some care. So for wash day, I knew what I’d be using for my hair. Ok, I’m going to stop there because I am way too excited to uncover that I have found the perfect wash and go products for my hair. I have 3c/4a hair texture| Low Porosity & my curls respond very well to Texture ID & some olive oil.

I was hesitant to try Texture ID products only because I had so many unused products under my sink still waiting to be opened, but I had heard some good reviews and it wasn’t too expensive so I tried it out. I’m a product junkie, what can I say!

However, I am really excited because after using all of their products, my hair was the curliest I’ve seen it! They were bouncy, moisturized and well-shaped curls, too.

After I shampooed and conditioned my hair, I then sectioned my hair into parts to prepare it for my products. I applied the following products using the LCO method (Leave-In, Cream, Oil) in the shower. I also use the raking method on small sections of my hair to define the curls. I also think that for this style, I used my Denman brush prior, to detangle my curls.

1. Texture ID Leave-In Conditioner

Y’all, I just want to let you know that I have gone through 2 bottles of this Leave-In already. It is one of my favorite products by this brand. It has coconut oil and aloe vera extract and comes in a spray bottle, which isn’t always my favorite, but the product, itself is fabulous. It also smells heavenly.

$8.99 usd

2. Texture ID Curling Crème

$8.99 usd

I have been hiding this product for myself because I wasn’t too keen on the overload of protein ingredients in it. Since I have low porosity hair, 3c4a hair, I have learned that protein can end up doing more damage than not. However, I extremely surprised with how this product defined my curls and it is super affordable so I think I will keep using it. The curls did not suffer!

This styling Crème has cocoa butter, shea butter, safflower seed oil, aloe vera juice and honey which are my top favorite ingredients for moisture retention.

3. Olive Oil

The third and final product that I used was Olive Oil for the purpose of sealing in the moisture of the first two products applied!

You should always use an oil to seal your hair. I have heard of people using lighter oils than this, but my hair, for whatever reason, tends to love it some olive oil when it comes sealing.

That is all! The results of using this product and technique are below! Let me know what you think. This might be my new quick go-to. What are your favorite products for wash and go’s?

Et Voila! très magnifique, a mon avis!
