I am an avid Netflix addict. Aside from the binge-watching that I partake in on my days off from work, I will also,  shamelessly, put on a television show as my "background music" while I complete my house Instead of music, I usually will just turn on a television show as I clean up my room..or pack for a trip..I mean, it is what it I, I like my TV. 

1. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

"Rescued after 15 years in a cult, Kimmy Schmidt decides to reclaim her life by venturing to New York, where she experiences everyday life with wide-eyed enthusiasm. On a whim, she rents a room from Titus, a gay wannabe Broadway actor, who makes ends meet as a street performer in Times Square. The unlikely pair find they're well-suited to help each other out, with Titus reintroducing Kimmy to modern life, and her providing him with the inspiration that you should never give up. Together they'll make it through whatever life throws at them." 

2. Schitt's Creek

"In CBC's sitcom "Schitt's Creek," a wealthy couple -- video store magnate Johnny and his soap opera star wife Moira -- suddenly find themselves completely broke. With only one remaining asset, a small town called Schitt's Creek, which the Roses bought years earlier as a joke, this once-wealthy couple must give up life as they know it. With their two spoiled children in tow and their pampered lives behind them, the Rose family is forced to face their newfound poverty head-on and come together as a family to survive." 

3. Dear White People

"Based on the acclaimed film of the same name, this Netflix-original series follows a group of students of color at Winchester University, a predominantly white Ivy League college. The students are faced with a landscape of cultural bias, social injustice, misguided activism and slippery politics. Through an absurdist lens, the series uses irony, self-deprecation, brutal honesty and humor to highlight issues that still plague today's"post-racial" society. "

4. Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce

"After Abby McCarthy, author of self-help books and guru to people with family issues, states that she and her husband have separated, her career screeches to a halt. The revelation puts America's once-favorite girlfriend in free fall. Acclimating to being single in her 40s, she turns to friends for advice, including entrepreneur Phoebe, who has an odd relationship with her ex. For the divorce, Abby hires Delia, an associate of her friend, Lyla. The "Girlfriends' Guide" book series inspired the dramedy -- Bravo's first original scripted series." 

5. Santa Clarita Diet

6. One Day at a Time

"This Netflix-original comedy-drama is inspired by Norman Lear's 1975 series of the same name. Now a nurse, Penelope is raising two strong-willed children. When faced with challenges, Penelope turns to her "old-school" mother, and her building manager, who has become an invaluable confidant. The series offers a contemporary take on what life looks like in both good and bad times, and how loved ones can help make it all worthwhile."

7. Jane the Virgin

"The daughter of a teen mother, Jane Villanueva grew up determined not to repeat her mom's mistakes. At 23, her life is on track; Jane is studying to be a teacher and engaged to a handsome detective who supports her decision to remain a virgin until marriage. Then a routine clinic visit flips her life upside down. Inseminated by a specimen meant for a patient in the next room, now-pregnant Jane is in a situation made only more insane when she learns that the sperm donor is her boss, Rafael. As her meticulously planned life gets more like the telenovelas she loves, she faces a lot of complicated decisions about where to go from here."

8. Riverdale

9. Grace and Frankie

"For as long as they can recall, Grace and Frankie have been rivals. This Netflix original re-teams Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin ("9 to 5") as Grace and Frankie, respectively, bringing their chemistry to the small screen. "

10. The Good Place

11. How to Get Away with Murder

12. A Series of Unfortunate Events

"This series follows the tragic tale of three orphans -- Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire -- who are investigating their parents' mysterious death. The siblings are saddled with an evil guardian named Count Olaf, who will do whatever it takes to get his hands on the Baudelaire's inheritance. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling devious plans and disguises. The series is based on the best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket."

13. Chewing Gum

Tracey Gordon, a religious, Beyoncé-obsessed 24-year-old, is fast to find out that the more she learns about the world, the less she understands.

14. Quantico

"Quantico explores the lives of young FBI recruits who have come to the Quantico base in Virginia for 21 weeks of training to become special agents. The recruits have been thoroughly vetted and are considered the best and the brightest - but each one possesses secrets, including hidden reasons for enlisting. One recruit is harbouring the biggest secret of all, and he ends up being suspected of masterminding the most deadly attack on U.S. soil since 9/11."

15. Once Upon a Time

"Once Upon a Time" tells the story of a new world, one in which fairy-tale legends and modern life collide. Emma Swan is comfortable in her life as a bail bonds collector when Henry -- the child she gave up a decade earlier -- suddenly shows up. He is convinced that she is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, who sent her away before the Evil Queen could cast a spell, freezing the fairytale world in time and bringing them to present-day Storybrooke, Maine. After taking Henry home, Emma decides to stay in the town to keep an eye on him, and she discovers he may not be wrong after all."

16. Luke Cage

"This gritty, action-packed drama follows the evolution of Luke Cage (Mike Colter), a man with super strength and unbreakable skin caused by a sabotaged experiment. After a failed relationship with fellow superhero Jessica Jones, Cage tries to rebuild a quiet life in Harlem, New York --until he is pulled out of the shadows and forced into a battle for his city. Along the way, Cage cannot avoid confronting his past, which he has worked hard to bury. "Marvel's Luke Cage" is the third show in the Netflix-original Defenders series."
